Dr Ken Thong graduated from the University of Melbourne and has trained in Western Australia since graduation. He undertook clinical research in diabetes in the United Kingdom. He is the Clinical Lead of Diabetes and Endocrinology in Rockingham General Hospital as well as a Senior Clinical Lecturer for the University of Western Australia. He has presented his research findings in international diabetes meetings and continues to publish in scientific journals.

Dr Thong has an interest in the management of obesity and is an accredited Optifast(TM) healthcare practitioner.
